Hundreds of tourists have visited the Tham Luang – Khun Nam Nang Non National Park in Chiang Rai on the first day of the reopening of the cave famous for the rescue of a team of youth football players.
About 700 tourists visited the cave in the Pong Pha sub-district in Mae Sai district today (October 16th).
The head of the national park Mrs. Roongsaran Banluesakchai told Thai media, “The cave has been renovated before the reopening which is now open daily from 8:30 A.M. to 4:30 P.M. However, some parts in the cave are still under construction.”
“There are two zones at the national park which are the Tham Luang cave zone and the Khun Nam Nang Non zone. The cave zone is opened only for the exhibition area about the 12 Thai youth soccer boys and their coach and rescuers in front of the cave as water levels inside the cave have not decreased,” Mrs. Roongsaran explained.
“Food is allowed to be eaten in the area but please avoid foam and plastic and alcohol.”Mrs. Roongsaran added.
Deceased Thai actor Papangkorn “Beam” Lerkchaleampote, 25, was widely talked about this month after his acting skills in the role of Coach “Eak” brilliantly shone in Netflix’s ‘Thai Cave Rescue: Limited Series’.
